Bravely Default naar home consoles?

Mavashi Takahashi, co-producer van ontwikkelaar Square Enix heeft laten weten dat hij het geweldig zou vinden als Bravely Default naar de home consoles zoals de Wii U komt.

Zowel Bravely Default als Bravely Second zijn grote hits geweest op de Nintendo 3DS.  Hierdoor zou het voor Square Enix mogelijk zinvol zijn om de game ook uit te brengen op bijvoorbeeld de Wii U. Het is duidelijk dat het voor Square Enix geen game is die exclusief voor handhelds blijft. De tot nu toe verschenen Bravely RPG’s kennen een klassiek turn-based vechtsysteem en behoren tot de betere RPG’s op de 3DS.

Onderstaande uitspraak deed Takahashi in een interview met Game Informer. Zou jij de games graag op een console zien?

GI: Is the team eager to take the Bravely series to future hardware? Is it viewed as a handheld series, or is there any possibility that it could branch out to consoles at some point?

MT: Unfortunately, I can’t make any official promises, but Bravely Default was the first RPG I worked on since joining Square Enix, and the series has grown very near and dear to my heart. Personally speaking, I’d love to see it happen. I’d also like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all of you around the world who have played and loved the Bravely series. For me, there is no greater happiness than to be able to join with you to make the world of games even more fun.
